Delete your account

You can delete your measured account at any time. It takes effect immediately, and you don't need to contact us first.

In the app

1. Open measured and go to the Me tab.
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
3. Confirm. You're signed out and your account is gone.

Without the app

If you've removed the app or can't sign in, email support@measured.date from the address you signed up with, or tell us the phone number you used. We'll confirm it's your account, delete it as soon as we can, and reply when it's done.

Deleting some of your data, and keeping your account

You don't have to delete your account to remove things from it. In the app, under Me and then Edit profile, you can:

• clear any optional detail, such as sexuality, ethnicity, religion, politics or job, by deselecting it
• remove prompts and photos, down to the minimum a profile needs
• hide any detail from your profile without deleting it

For anything you can't remove yourself, email support@measured.date and tell us what you'd like deleted. We'll do it as soon as we can.

What's deleted

Your profile, photos, prompts, measurements, preferences, likes, matches, verification selfie and notification settings are deleted straight away, and you stop appearing to anyone.

A few things are kept for a limited time, for safety and legal reasons:

• Messages you sent may stay visible to the person you sent them to, the way an email stays in someone's inbox.
• Reports, blocks and moderation decisions involving you are kept for up to 2 years, so we can act on repeat behaviour.
• That you passed an age check, and when, is kept for up to 2 years as evidence we checked.
• If your account was banned, a one-way hash of your sign-in details is kept so the ban can't be undone by signing up again. It can't be turned back into your details.
