Child Safety Standards
measured is a dating app for adults, operated by Ternal Limited. Children are not allowed on it, and we have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation of any kind.
What is prohibited
Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) is strictly prohibited on measured. That includes, without exception:
- child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including drawn, generated or edited imagery
- grooming, or any attempt to contact, meet or form a relationship with a child for sexual purposes
- sexualising a minor in words or images, or soliciting sexual content from a minor
- sextortion, trafficking, or any other exploitation of a child
- anyone under 18 using measured, or anyone presenting themselves as under 18
How we keep children off measured
- Adults only. Every member must give a date of birth showing they are 18 or over. Accounts with an under-18 date of birth are refused by our servers.
- Third-party age verification. Every account must pass an independent age check before it can message anyone.
- Moderation before publication. Every photo and piece of profile text is checked before anyone else can see it. Anything suggesting a person may be under 18, or any sexual reference to minors, is rejected or held for review by a person, and is never shown in the meantime.
- No images in chat. Messages on measured are text only, so images cannot be sent privately between members.
How to report a concern
In the app: open the profile or conversation, tap Block or report, choose Report, and select Seems under 18, or the reason that fits best. Reports are confidential, and the person is not told who reported them. If you report someone you have messaged, the recent conversation is included so we can see what happened.
By email: write to support@measured.date with "Child safety" in the subject. You don't need a measured account to report a concern.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first.
What we do
Reports involving a child are treated as our highest priority. When we find or are told about content or behaviour that breaks these standards, we:
- remove the content and permanently ban the account, and the ban outlasts the account being deleted
- preserve the relevant information so it can be provided to the authorities
- report child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the appropriate authorities, including the UK's National Crime Agency, and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where the content or people involved are in the United States
- cooperate with law enforcement investigations, as the law allows
measured complies with the child safety laws that apply to it, including the UK's Online Safety Act 2023.
