Terms of Service
This is the agreement between you and Ternal Limited for using measured. By creating an account you accept it, so it's worth reading.
Who we are
measured is operated by Ternal Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number [COMPANY NUMBER], registered office 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. "We" and "us" mean Ternal Limited. "You" means you.
You must be 18 or over
measured is for adults only. You must be at least 18, and you must pass our age check before you can use the service. If we find out you're under 18, we'll close your account immediately and permanently.
You also need the legal capacity to enter this agreement, and you must not be barred from using the service under the laws that apply to you, or be a registered sex offender.
Your account
- One account per person. Don't create accounts for anyone else or impersonate anyone.
- Keep your sign-in method secure. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
- Your account is personal. You can't sell it, share it or transfer it.
- Tell us at support@measured.date if you think someone else has access to it.
Be honest about your stats
measured works because people tell the truth. The size you enter is self-reported and we don't verify it, so the whole thing rests on you being accurate.
Deliberately misstating your size is a breach of these terms. People you've matched with can tell us when stats weren't as described, and where we see a pattern we will ask you to correct your profile, suspend your account, or remove it.
How you behave
Our Community Guidelines form part of these terms. In short, you agree not to:
- harass, threaten, abuse, stalk or intimidate anyone
- send explicit content to anyone who hasn't asked for it
- discriminate against people on the basis of race, religion, disability or similar characteristics
- share anyone else's photos, messages or personal information
- use measured for sex work, advertising, promotion, recruitment, fundraising or selling anything
- ask anyone for money, or attempt any scam
- post anything unlawful, or anything sexually explicit in profile photos
- upload photos that aren't of you, or that you don't have the right to use
- scrape, copy or automate access to measured, or attempt to work around its limits or security
Your content
Your photos and words remain yours. You give us a licence to host, store, reproduce and display them for the purpose of operating measured — no more than we need to show your profile to the people you want to see it. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we're required to keep as described in our Privacy Policy.
We check photos and profile text before other people see them. We can remove anything that breaks these terms or our guidelines, and we don't have to explain every decision in detail — though we'll tell you what rule was involved.
measured+
measured is free to use. measured+ is an optional paid subscription that adds unlimited likes, the ability to see who has liked you, and additional filters including size.
- Subscriptions are bought through, and billed by, the Apple App Store. Apple's terms apply to the payment.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You cancel in your Apple account settings, not with us — deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies. We can't issue them directly.
- Prices may change. We'll tell you before a change affects you, and you can cancel.
- If we suspend or close your account for breaking these terms, you're not entitled to a refund for the remainder of the period.
What measured does and doesn't promise
We provide a place to meet people. We don't screen anyone beyond checking their age and moderating their content, we don't verify what anyone tells you, and we don't conduct criminal background checks.
Take the same care you would meeting any stranger. Meet in public the first time. Tell someone where you're going. Trust your instincts and leave if something feels wrong. What happens between people who meet through measured is between them, and we are not responsible for it.
We provide measured as it is. We don't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of faults, though we work to keep it running.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time, in the app, under Settings. It takes effect immediately.
We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms or our guidelines, if we're required to by law, or if we reasonably believe you pose a risk to other people. Where it's appropriate and lawful we'll tell you why. Serious breaches — anything involving minors, threats, or unlawful content — result in an immediate permanent ban and, where appropriate, a report to the police.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
Subject to that, we're not liable for the conduct of other people using measured, whether online or in person, or for indirect or consequential loss. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you've paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or £100.
If you're using measured as a consumer, these terms don't affect your statutory rights.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect, and continuing to use measured after that means you accept it. If you don't, you can delete your account.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring proceedings in your own courts; if you live outside the United Kingdom, you may have the right to bring proceedings where you live, and nothing here removes protections your local law gives you as a consumer.
